In its entire life of loneliness
A mere chance of getting out from the chain
A single chance of happiness he consumed
A nightmare.
He wagged his tail, his master called
Someone knew his name
How happy he felt
By playing in biting.
Now, everybody wants him dead
A euthanasia he had to suffer
A single groan.
A single cry.
Goodbye, Garnett
What a sad way to raise you
If you had been unchained
You could have been good.
~Garnett, a Doberman dog (2007-2010) . Died by euthanasia. An intelligent dog but thought biting was part of playing.
